A company has 20 ESX hosts. Ten of the hosts are connected using FC, and the rest are connected over iSCSI. The FC host HBA queue depth is set to 32, and the iSCSI LUN queue depth is set to 64. The FC hosts are now experiencing random connectivity issues.
In this scenario, what would be the reason for the disconnects?

  • A. The FC host has a lower queue depth.

Apologies for double-posting, I meant, in the same source: a) hosts with smaller queue depths are being deprived of access to resources by hosts with larger queue depths. b) In a configuration with multiple initiators (hosts), all hosts should have similar queue depths. c) All hosts should have the queue depths set to similar values to give equal access to all hosts. Not sure 2 answers reflect/imply the same, but a lower queue depth is not a problem. The inconsistency is.
