Answer is A & B A : The two-node cluster relies on the mediator service hosted by the ONTAP Deploy VM to achieve the same result. The heartbeat network traffic between the ONTAP Select nodes and the ONTAP Deploy mediator service is minimal and resilient so that the ONTAP Deploy VM can be hosted in a different data center than the ONTAP Select two-node cluster. B: ONTAP Select Deploy VM is required to install cluster nodes. Same VM is used Mediator. https://docs.netapp.com/us-en/ontap-select/concept_ha_config.html

AB confirm. Syncmirror is only needed with MetroCluster or within cluster to mirror an aggregate which is physical racks of disks. We are talking about Ontap Select across site. Sycmirror not possible

For me, ABC are correct A It's 100% sure we must have ontap select deploye on a 3rd site : https://docs.netapp.com/us-en/ontap-select/concept_ha_config.html B So yes we have to deploy via ontap select deploy, we have no choice... C Yes we need this license (free) but not included in the installation : https://docs.netapp.com/us-en/ontap-select/pdfs/sidebar/License.pdf page 14 https://docs.netapp.com/us-en/ontap-select/concept_ha_config.html (ctrl +f syncmirror) So.. A & B or C...

B and C are Correct. The two-node ONTAP Select cluster is composed of one HA pair and a mediator. Within the HA pair, data aggregates on each cluster node are synchronously mirrored, and, in the event of a failover, there is no loss of data.
