B allows you to save the custom theme from ReportA into a reusable JSON format. E lets you upload and apply the saved JSON theme to DashboardA.

Publishing reportA to PowerBI is not a requirement to get its theme (similar option A and option C) We could think in creating same custom in Dashboart but it would be reworking Option B to save the current them we want to reuse in the Dashboard (would generate a JSON file) option E to upload the saved theme into the Dashboard

The explanations in https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/create-reports/service-dashboard-themes is simple, and I think B, E is the closest match.

I feel like D-E are the answers. following this link: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/create-reports/service-dashboard-themes You'll see that it creates the custom theme and then press upload json. It makes sense

I am not sure for my answer here but I would also go with BE. The reasons are: 1) "Each correct answer presents part of the solution." The A seems a complete solution here because according to others' comment this will ensure that the custom theme used in ReportA is available in Power BI and can be accessed by DashboardA. Then if the theme already exists and we donot have to create it then E is also a complete solution. 2) BE work together 3) We have ReportA and DashboardA it could be different things and BE are in alignment with this.

for me is B and E: I pinned a visual, my report is black, when I visited the pinned visual in the dashboard, the dashboard was black. I wanted to change it for black, the only options where the predefined power BI ones(ligh, dark, etc), and the only option to allow me to put my theme was: UPLOAD JSON File

AE is correct. AE is the answer. "ReportA that uses a custom theme" means theme exists. So, creating the Theme file is not necessary. B is redundant step. So, just publish ReportA to Power BI. E applies to the theme to Dashboard.

It's a custom theme meaning user-defined isn't it?

Selected Answer: AE
you cannot create dashboards in PBI Desktop, therefore you HAVE to publish your report that will automatically embark its theme and propagate it in your workspace

My bad. Tested and you need to save your custom theme. Then in Pbi service you create a dashboard. Pinning your visuals will not transfer the theme, you need to upload the json file and choose it from the drop down list.
