Actual exam question from Microsoft's PL-600
Question #: 31
Topic #: 2
[All PL-600 Questions]

DRAG DROP -
You are designing a data model for a Microsoft Power Platform solution.
The data model must meet the following requirements:
✑ When an account is assigned to a new salesperson, all opportunities that are associated with the account must be assigned to the new salesperson.
✑ When a salesperson assigns a lead to another salesperson, all phone call activities related to the lead must be assigned to the new salesperson.
You need to recommend cascading strategies for the data model.
Which cascading strategy should you recommend? To answer, drag the appropriate cascading strategies to the correct requirements. Each cascading strategy may be used once, more than once, or not at all. You may need to drag the split bar between panes or scroll to view content.
NOTE: Each correct selection is worth one point.

I don't see why 2 shouldn't also be Cascade All - unless it is phrased as "all phone activities owned by the first salesperson..."

Because for activity entities is not possible to configure "Cascade all" relationship. But only custom behaviour.

Looking at the regardingobjectid relationship I can define Custom and Cascade All instead of Parental (which also cascades all).

Not sure if first should be "Cascade Active". Its about assigning the Opportunity. Its not clearly written, but i would expect our Sales they dont want to have succesfully closed Opportunities to be assigned to another user

you right but the question clearly says "ALL opportunities that are associated with the account must be assigned"

1. Cascade All : The Cascade All option ensures that when the Account is reassigned to a new salesperson, all related records (such as opportunities) are also reassigned to the new salesperson automatically. 2. Cascade Active : Cascade Active ensures that only activities that are still active (like phone calls) are reassigned when the lead is reassigned. This avoids unnecessarily reassigning completed or closed activities.

still feeling both should be Cascade All Based on definition of the cascading type: Cascade All: Same action is performed on the related entity records. Cascade Active: Perform the action on all related entity records if they are in Active or equivalent state. Cascade User-Owned: Perform the action on all related entity records (if the owner of the related and parent entity records is same). Cascade None: No effect on the related entity records.

This entire question makes no sense because the account-to-opportunity 1:N relationship and the lead-to-phone call 1:N relationship are managed and cannot be edited. They are both set to "Cascade All".

As ClairFraser said, 2 should be cascade all unless the question was phrased differently

I think it's because there is no direct relationship between contact and activity table

what about closed activity? afterwards you believe that the closed activities had been done by the new sales person but, actually, he just did the ones which are still open. for this, i favour 1) cascade user owned 2) cascade active

in my experience this is exactly what the architect needs to be able to: to listen to the customer and understand if he says 'all', in most of the cases, he will later follow up with 'but...' and 'except' and 'why did you *** not tell me??!!' it is my joke to say 'all' and 'always' comes with 'but' or 'except' (even though all and always is non-exclusive by definition)
