Box: hybrid - You can deploy hybrid app with on-premises data that scales cross-cloud. Reference: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/architecture/hybrid/deployments/solution-deployment-guide-cross-cloud-scaling-onprem-data
If an Azure Web App can be hosted in a private cloud (on-premise in this case), that would be an example of Private Cloud...right? So, the answer is not always an hybrid cloud...isn't it?
The question betrays the answers. We have an AZURE WEB APP (on the cloud) that queries a local ON-PREMISES MS SQL Server (on-premise)
This is a clear case scenario of an hybrid cloud setup
I originally thought private as well, but I'm guessing because Azure Web would generally be categorized as a Public Cloud Service, and On-prem is private... therefore hybrid. Sorry I don't have a better explanation.
website host in cloud, database in on-premiss, therefore hybrid. i think!
