HOTSPOT -
A company is using Power BI.
The company plans to analyze a large number of datasets. The company is concerned that this may negatively impact performance.
You need to identify and implement features to mitigate any performance issues.
Which features should you use? To answer, select the appropriate options in the answer area.

Aggregation improves performance but question concerns size of data, then: 1.Modeling view - can reduce size of data 2. Import - creates buffer/cache

No. This is related to performance. Aggregation is correct Automatic aggregations are both self-training and self-optimizing. They enable dataset owners of any skill level to improve query performance, providing faster report visualizations for even the largest datasets. https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/admin/aggregations-auto#requirements

Improve performance by reducing table size. Feature: Aggregations Aggregations can improve performance by summarizing data, which reduces the amount of data that needs to be processed and stored. Cache data locally on a user's device. Feature: Dual The Dual storage mode in Power BI, for example, allows data to be cached both in the report and within the Power BI service, enabling quicker access and potentially allowing for some local caching. The other options provided in the list: Formulas are not directly related to reducing table size; they are used to calculate results based on data in the tables. Modeling view is used for viewing and managing relationships and metadata in the model, but does not directly reduce table size. Import refers to bringing data into a model, but does not inherently include caching it on the user's device. Hence, for the given requirements, the features would be matched as follows: Aggregations for improving performance by reducing table size. Dual for caching data locally on a user's device.

Anuki 's answer is incorrect. Modeling view itself cannot optimize performance.

'To enable interactive analysis on this dataset, you can add an aggregation table that groups by most of the attributes, but excludes the high-cardinality attributes like longitude and latitude. This dramatically reduces the number of rows, and is small enough to comfortably fit into an in-memory cache.'

Read the answers! "Improve performance reducing table size" —> this is a doing, not a question about where. When aggregating, we are reducing the table size! It‘s not asked where to change something, so it‘s NOT modelling view! Second one is an option to be set on Modelling View - Import improves performance. So this is correct!

In modelling view: "you could change the storage mode for multiple tables in your diagram view by holding down the Ctrl key, selecting tables, then changing the storage mode setting in the Properties pane." https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/transform-model/desktop-modeling-view The storage mode lets you control whether Power BI Desktop caches table data in-memory for reports. https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/transform-model/desktop-storage-mode This literally takes you to the discussion about setting the storage mode property to import or dual, which makes up the second question. Based on the before, the answer to the first question should be modelling view

Answer is Correct Box 1: Aggregation . Why ? Aggregation is a way of speeding up the performance of a Power BI dataset. The approach works on the basis of creating aggregated tables from the main detailed fact table. The calculations and visuals then will be using the aggregated table which is smaller and faster in the response time. Answer Cant be Model view because Model view shows all of the tables, columns, and relationships in your model. This view can be especially helpful when your model has complex relationships between many tables. This has nothing to do with performance
