C is correct, the tags ASSOCIATE the vms to each deparment, then for example it can be charged to each department.

Why not B? Create a different RG and move the resources to that RG - much clean approach. ( C is also correct - but which one is more accurate ? Whats the differentiation factor ?

S/O to mlantonis and everyone in the comments section. I passed mine today. Just want to give tips to everyone starting from here. Go through till you get to the end and make sure you understand every single thing. Some of the questions are repeated but there are newer ones as well(which is just MS changing the wording to confuse you). If you understand every question here, then you will pass. Understand not memorize.

The correct answer in my opinion is C "Assign tags to the virtual machines". If all resources are in a single Resource Group, Management Groups wont help, neither modifying the VMs settings. Creating more Resource Groups would be the better option, but it would be more cumbersome, and out of the scope of this question.

Correct Answer is C . By assigning tags to the virtual machines, you can easily filter and group them based on the department they belong to. This allows for efficient resource management and organization. Creating Azure Management Groups or resource groups (options A and B) would provide higher-level organization but do not directly associate individual VMs with specific departments. Modifying the settings of the virtual machines (option D) would not be the most practical way to associate them with departments.
