Just a note on Databases : While the underlying database infrastructure is managed by Azure, your IT employees are responsible for managing the data within the databases, including schema design, query optimization, and data integrity.

In PaaS, the customer is generally responsible for the application and managing the data (e.g., structure and content), but not for the underlying infrastructure or database maintenance. In many cases, the cloud provider takes care of the database platform maintenance itself.

Answer a, storage, and answer d, operating system are both included in the platform as a service model. Database management is included in platform as a service model, however the data that fills the database is the customer's responsibility. Platform as a service is designed for application development. Therefore application and database are the responsibility of the consumer. Hopefully the actual exam question is a little more clear as to whether database means the data framework, or the actual data.
