Password can be changed from M365 portal, just that password writeback won't work. These are 2 mutually exclusive and different things.

Test changing the password for an AD sync user in the 365 portal, it won't work.

While that may be true, if you end up with 2 different passwords because the password doesn't write back, it kind of defeats the purpose of allowing users to change their password. The way the question was written, I say the given answers are right.

Correct answer because password writeback is disabled, user cannot change his password in any Microsoft portal. Hash synchronization is enabled therefore the hashes will be synched
