You have a hybrid Microsoft Azure Active Directory (Azure AD) tenant, a Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (Current Branch) environment, and a
Microsoft 365 subscription.
You have computers that run Windows 10 as shown in the following table.

You plan to use Microsoft 365 Device Management.
Which computers support co-management by Configuration Manager and Device Management?

  • A. Computer3 only
  • B. Computer1 and Computer2 only
  • C. Computer2 only
  • D. Computer1, Computer2, and Computer3
Show Suggested Answer Hide Answer
Suggested Answer: D 🗳️
Paths to co-management -
There are two main paths to reach to co-management:
Existing Configuration Manager clients: You have Windows 10 or later devices that are already Configuration Manager clients. You set up hybrid Azure AD, and enroll them into Intune.
New internet-based devices: You have new Windows 10 or later devices that join Azure AD and automatically enroll to Intune. You install the Configuration
Manager client to reach a co-management state.

From the reference given: "Windows 10 devices must be connected to Azure AD. They can be either of the following types: 1.) Hybrid Azure AD-joined, where the device is joined to your on-premises Active Directory and registered with your Azure Active Directory. 2.) Azure AD-joined only. (This type is sometimes referred to as "cloud domain-joined") Computer 1 will first need to be joined to AAD or registered to AAD. If Computer1 does get registered or joined to the AAD it does support co-management. But not in the state it is in now. Thus if I would get this question I would answer: Computer 2 and 3, if that option is not available I would go option D.

Based on the fact the co-management requires Hybrid AzureAD-Joined or Azure AD-Joined, REF1, I would say only Computer2 and Computer3 can be co-managed, but seeing as that isn't an available answer, I would say only Computer2. I think we can confidently say that Computer1 is excluded from ADConnect sync and will never be HybridAAD Joined unless ADConnect sync scope is changed, and therefore cannot be co-managed. REF2. For me answer B is correct, since the devices need to be AD joined to be completely manageable thru Config Manager. Once you add the computer account to be co managed it will be automatically registered in Azure an can be enrolled.

The question states – “You PLAN” to use Microsoft 365 Device Management. Which computers SUPPORT co-management by Configuration Manager and Device Management? As it stands, none can currently be managed by Device management because the prerequisite is that Windows devices has the Configuration Manager client and is ENROLLED to INTUNE. The question does not state if the devices are already enrolled to Intune but they all SUPPORT the function when properly configured... I’ll go with - D

I don't understand this type of questions... the correct answare, for me, will be Computer 2 and 3. I found this on web "Hybrid Azure AD join and co-management are two different things: " Co-management enables you to concurrently manage a Windows 10 device with both Configuration Manager and Intune. You install the Configuration Manager client and enroll the device to Intune. The device communicates with both services. Configuration Manager policy controls which workloads you switch to Intune as the management authority. Co-management requires that the device has a cloud identity. This identity can be either hybrid Azure AD join or Azure AD join only. For an existing Configuration Manager client that's already joined to Active Directory, it needs to be hybrid joined before you enable co-management. For new devices that are only cloud domain-joined with Azure AD, you can enable co-management right away. There's no requirement for hybrid Azure AD join for new co-managed devices. Tenant Attache: Tenant Attach is simply a way to attach your ConfigMgr hierarchy to your tenant and leverage the capabilities available from the cloud, such as discovery cloud users and groups, synchronize Azure AD groups from a device collection and more. Cloud Attach:is Configuration Manager only managed devices that show up in the cloud portal. ... Intune releases new functionality every month while Configuration Manager releases new functionality approximately every four months.

The question is "Which computers support co-management" The answer is D Computer 1, Computer2 and Computer 3. On this link https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/mem/configmgr/comanage/overview under "Paths to co-mangement" you can read "Existing Configuration Manager clients: You have Windows 10 devices that are already Configuration Manager clients. You set up hybrid Azure AD, and enroll them into Intune" And as it says in the first sentence the enviroment already have Hybrd Azure AD. You can read more about Hybrid AAD: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/mem/configmgr/comanage/quickstart-setup-hybrid-aad

normally only AAD and Azure Hybride AD. ADDS yes but need to but synchronise with Azure AD connector. SO a "little" D even if for me it's only computers 2 and 3 but this answer isn't present.

Answer looks correct. Enabling co-management itself doesn't require that you onboard your site with Azure AD.

2 and 3 only isn't an option, no idea what the person writing the question expects as the correct answer. If I was sitting the exam, I would choose computer 2 only to be safe.
