36 months is monthly retention, not yearly. So the answer is correct.

The second question should be "the maximum...." The minimum RPO is time duration that backup job takes. For example, if daily back takes 10 mins to complete backup job, the minimum RPO would be 10 mins.

you have to try it by yourself. then you will notice that yearly retention is not configured. 36 months is for the monthly retention. If you do not select the checkbox, the configuration will not show up. So the answer is correct.
