HOTSPOT - You are creating a model-driven app. For each of the following statements, select Yes if the statement is true. Otherwise, select No. NOTE: Each correct selection is worth one point. Hot Area:
To add entities to an app, entities are dragged onto the app canvas from the components area.
No: In model-driven apps, entities are not dragged onto the app canvas. Instead, you configure entities and their relationships within the app designer.
View definition is created in the component area of the app designer.
Yes: View definitions, which determine how data is displayed in lists and grids, are created and managed in the component area of the app designer.
You must save, validate, and publish your app for others to see the changes.
Yes: To make your changes available to others, you need to save, validate, and publish your app.
First is yes.
in a model-driven app, you can add entities by dragging and dropping them onto the app canvas from the components area. Here are the steps to do so:
Open the app designer by navigating to the Power Apps maker portal, selecting the app you want to edit, and clicking on the "Edit" button.
In the app designer, click on the "Entities" tab on the left-hand side.
Click on the "Components" button in the toolbar on the top of the screen.
In the "Components" pane, select the entity or entities that you want to add to your app by clicking on them. You can select multiple entities by holding down the "Ctrl" key while clicking on them.
Once you have selected the entities you want to add, drag them from the "Components" pane onto the app canvas.
Drop the entities onto the app canvas where you want them to appear. You can move them around and resize them as needed.
Note that adding entities to a model-driven app requires appropriate security permissions. Make sure that you have the necessary permissions to add entities to your app.
Do you have a link to this info, because I don't think it's correct? I just tried your process, but as soon as I click on the entities (either single or multiple), it automatically adds them. I can't drag/drop at all. Also, your process says you can "move them around and resize as needed." I tried this as well and it didn't work. I don't think model-driven supports UI customization like this and that sounds more like a canvas app or something else.
correct. I'm attending training days and it was confirmed that validation stage is a must. https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-apps/maker/model-driven-apps/validate-app
according to this.
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/learn/modules/how-build-model-driven-app/05-create-model-driven-app
only save and publish is necessary. Validate is not a MUST.
Incorrect. "Model-driven apps cannot be published if they do not include all the required components. Some components rely on others and this relationship between components is known as a dependency."
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-apps/maker/model-driven-apps/validate-app
I think A is incorrect because 'entities' (known now as tables) are not a UI element you can drag to the app canvas, but a dataverse/CDS thing; a collection of rows/records.
