HOTSPOT - For each of the following statements, select Yes if the statement is true. Otherwise, select No. NOTE: Each correct selection is worth one point. Hot Area:
Suggested Answer:
Box 1: No - It is not true that a company must always migrate from an internal network to implement a hybrid cloud. You could start with a public cloud and then combine that with an on-premise infrastructure to implement a hybrid cloud.
Box 2: Yes - A company can extend the computing resources of its internal network by using the public cloud. This is very common. When you need more resources, rather than pay out for new on-premises infrastructure, you can configure a cloud environment and connect your on-premises network to the cloud environment by using a VPN.
Box 3: No - It is not true that only guest users can access cloud resources. You can give anyone with an account in Azure Active Directory access to the cloud resources. There are many authentication scenarios but a common one is to replicate your on-premises Active Directory accounts to Azure Active Directory and provide access to the Azure Active Directory accounts. Another commonly used authentication method is 'Federation' where authentication for access to cloud resources is passed to another authentication provider such as an on-premises Active Directory. Answer is YYN
Here's why answer 1 as given is wrong. It states "It is not true that a company must always migrate from a private cloud model or must first have a private cloud to implement a hybrid cloud. You could start with a public cloud and then combine that with an on-premise infrastructure to implement a hybrid cloud."
This is true. But how can you have a hybrid with having BOTH on-prem and online infrastructure in place? Think about it - If you start with on-prem then you need to first have online infrastructure before you can be considered hybrid. And if you start online then you need to have on-prem infrastructure before you can be considered hybrid.
So you need have both first. Until then, you are either private or public but not hybrid.
I agree with the YYN.
I think that the first "Y" is due to what is asked: "to implement". The question does not refer about "when" or in which moment implement that, so "to implement" a hibrid cloud you MUST have an on-prem infra first.
My previous answer stands but I should have said "But how can you have a hybrid withOUT having both on-prem and online infrastructure in place?"
BTW, another way of thinking about this is:
How can you run Azure AD Connect without on-premises AD? Or run the Exchange Hybrid Configuration Wizard?
You can create users in Microsoft 365 but the users cannot sync with on-prem Ad users. only on-prem users can be synced to azure ad. But, that doesn't mean an organization using microsoft 365 can later create an on-prem ad.
The book 'Microsoft Azure Fundamentals exam ref AZ-900, second edition' states:
"Important: Hybrid doesn’t always include on-premises
Remember, a private cloud is a cloud dedicated to a single organization.
It doesn’t have to be located on-premises.
It can also be hosted at a third-party data center, so a hybrid cloud model might be
the combination of a third-party data center and a public cloud."
Which would indead mean NYN.
The fact a network being internal or not, is defined by the network IPs, not by the localization of the servers. Even if a hybrid cloud model exists in your company with Private and Public Cloud (without On-Premises), that doesn't mean that there isn't an Internal Network.
I tend to disagree. The first answer would be "Y" as follows:
A hybrid cloud—sometimes called a cloud hybrid—is a computing environment that combines an on-premises datacenter (also called a private cloud) with a public cloud, allowing data and applications to be shared between them. Some people define hybrid cloud to include “multicloud” configurations where an organization uses more than one public cloud in addition to their on-premises datacenter.

1️⃣ To implement a hybrid cloud model, a company must have an internal network.
✅ Yes – A hybrid cloud combines on-premises infrastructure (internal network) with cloud services.
2️⃣ A company can extend the computing resources of its internal network by using a hybrid cloud.
✅ Yes – A hybrid cloud allows businesses to expand their internal network resources by integrating cloud services.
3️⃣ In a public cloud model, only guest users at your company can access the resources in the cloud.
❌ No – Public cloud resources are accessible over the internet and can be used by both internal and external users based on authentication and permissions.

To implement a hybrid cloud model, a company must have an internal network.
Answer: Yes
A hybrid cloud combines a private cloud (internal network) with public cloud resources. An internal network is essential to establish the private portion of the hybrid cloud.
A company can extend the computing resources of its internal network by using a hybrid cloud.
Answer: Yes
A hybrid cloud allows companies to scale their resources by integrating public cloud services with their existing internal infrastructure.
In a public cloud model, only guest users at your company can access the resources in the cloud.
Answer: No
In a public cloud model, resources are accessible over the internet to authorized users, not just limited to guest users at a company.
The answer is YYN
For 1st it is True. To implement a hybrid cloud model, a company typically needs to have an internal network that connects its on-premises resources (like servers and data centers) with the public cloud. This internal network, often referred to as a private cloud, is essential for integrating with public cloud services to create a seamless hybrid environment. The internal network allows for secure communication, data transfer, and management between on-premises infrastructure and public cloud resources.
The answer and logic given n Exam Topics does not match the question. No one mentioned migration in the question. This is simply an error and the answer is Y
Yes, to implement a hybrid cloud model, a company must have an internal network.
A hybrid cloud model combines on-premises infrastructure (private cloud) with public cloud services (such as those provided by Azure). For this integration to work, the company's internal network must connect securely with the public cloud resources, allowing for data and application interoperability between the two environments. This internal network is crucial for establishing the necessary communication, security, and management frameworks required for a hybrid cloud architecture. (ChatGPT x Copilot)
Yes, your understanding is correct. Here's a summary:
**Box 1**: No, a company does not need to migrate from an internal network to implement a hybrid cloud. They can start with a public cloud and combine it with an on-premise infrastructure.
**Box 2**: Yes, a company can indeed extend the computing resources of its internal network by using the public cloud. This is a common practice known as cloud bursting.
**Box 3**: No, it's not true that only guest users can access cloud resources. Anyone with an account in Azure Active Directory can be given access. There are various authentication methods available, including replicating on-premises Active Directory accounts to Azure Active Directory and using 'Federation' where authentication for access to cloud resources is passed to another authentication provider such as an on-premises Active Directory.
Correct Answer: NYN
Reason: For scenario 1: An hybrid cloud model, is a combination of a PRIVATE cloud (could be on-prem or hosted by another 3rd-party cloud provider: GCP, AWS, Oracle Cloud, SAP), and a PUBLIC cloud (again, hosted in Azure or other cloud network). It does not necessarily need to have an existing INTERNAL NETWORK in place. The private cloud offers dedicated resource specifically for an organization; while the public cloud offers a shared resource environment.
Scenario 2 and 3 are not in contention. So, no need to reiterate those.
I think the Answer should be YYN and the explanation for A is given - "You could start with a public cloud and then combine that with an on-premise infrastructure to implement a hybrid cloud." So to create Hybrid cloud you will have to combine with on-prem which is your internal network.
