Suggested Answer: B 🗳️
Use MDM enrolment.
MDM only enrollment lets users enroll an existing Workgroup, Active Directory, or Azure Active directory joined PC into Intune. Users enroll from Settings on the existing Windows PC.

Company portal method only registers devices with AAD, not joins them. It is designed for end-users connecting personal/BYOD devices and not for administrators to deploy PCs. https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/mem/intune/enrollment/windows-enrollment-methods

Yes, this does enroll the device to intune: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/mem/intune/enrollment/windows-enrollment-methods "Bring your own device (BYOD): Users enroll their personally owned devices by downloading and installing the Company Portal App This process: Registers the device with Azure Active Directory to gain access to corporate resource like email. Enrolls the device in Intune as a personal owned device (BYOD). If an administrator has configured Auto enrollment (available with Azure AD premium subscriptions), the user only has to enter their credentials once. Otherwise, they'll have to enroll separately through MDM only enrollment and reenter their credentials."

Questions says: "You need to enroll Computer1 in Intune." According to your link this registers the device in AAD and enrolls to Intune. So this does meet the goal. Answer: Yes

Incorrect: Use Intune Company Portal to enroll devices running on Windows 10, version 1607 and later. The answer should be yes. https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/mem/intune/user-help/enroll-windows-10-device

Disagree, yes the device is Azure registred but also Microsoft Intune enrolled after this approach. So answer is no - verified in my lab

If the device is enrolled then the answer is A. Yes. Check the link: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/mem/intune/user-help/enroll-windows-10-device There is also a video and several screenshots showing how to use the Company Portal app.

I guess they answered No just because when you install the app for the first time and open it you are unable to use the Devices tab. I have to sign in first. Only then you will have the Devices tab available. Tested on two computers. One was already registered and the other was brand new.

I find this question fairly confusing as there seems to be articles indicating yes and no for the company portal. To see for myself I enrolled my device into Azure and made certain there was no trace of it in Intune. Later on when I had some more spare time I downloaded the Company Portal App and I have no enrolled my test device into intune, so for me its a yes. I didnt need to do anything with the devices tab though, not sure what that bits about.

Is it marked wrong because the device is not already enrolled in Azure? In my case I enrolled it in Azure and then enrolled in intune afterwards using the portal app. So the app does indeed enroll it in Intune but it its not already in Azure it wouldnt.

Verified in my lab - Windows 10 Device, freshly installed, worgroup, downloaded Company Portal App from the Store, went to Devices and logged in with Work or School Account. Device was afterwards registred in Azure AD an MDM Microsoft Intune enrolled.

Voting A: The Company Portal apps, Company Portal website, and Intune app on Android are where users access company data and can do common tasks. Common task may include enrolling devices, installing apps, and locating information (such as for assistance from your IT department). https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/mem/intune/apps/company-portal-app

when launching Company Portal the prompts are not always available. Prompts are configured to show or not show. But Company Portal must be configured to will allow user to enroll device. Device tab will work, if there is no prompt.

I think it would be yes if the question was asking whether we can enroll this device as a "BYOD" device. But here I think the question is asking implicitly whether an administrator can enroll a device with this method. In an enterprise environment, that's not the method that should be used. The question is a bit confusing for me...

Answer is "No",because out of enrollment consideration, the solution isn't correct because you can't use the Device tab without sign-in previously. "Solution: You install the Company Portal app on Computer1 and use the Devices tab from the app."

Although this answer is not correct because you don't go to the Devices tab. After you register into AAD, you have to click on the yellow warning on the Home screen of the app that says "This device hasn't been set up for corporate use yet..." and follow the prompts to enroll into InTune.

The Company Portal app allows the user account and device to register with AAD, and can enroll the device into Intune. https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/mem/intune/user-help/enroll-windows-10-device

The answer is NO. A new (non-existing) Windows 10 device that is in workgroup and has a local user installs company portal and uses the devices tab. The result will be an Azure AD Registered device without MDM, therefore not enrolled in Intune. Tested in a real environment.
