SIMULATION -
Please wait while the virtual machine loads. Once loaded, you may proceed to the lab section. This may take a few minutes, and the wait time will not be deducted from your overall test time.
When the Next button is available, click it to access the lab section. In this section, you will perform a set of tasks in a live environment. While most functionality will be available to you as it would be in a live environment, some functionality (e.g., copy and paste, ability to navigate to external websites) will not be possible by design.
Scoring is based on the outcome of performing the tasks stated in the lab. In other words, it doesn't matter how you accomplish the task, if you successfully perform it, you will earn credit for that task.
Labs are not timed separately, and this exam may more than one lab that you must complete. You can use as much time as you would like to complete each lab.
But, you should manage your time appropriately to ensure that you are able to complete the lab(s) and all other sections of the exam in the time provided.
Please note that once you submit your work by clicking the Next button within a lab, you will NOT be able to return to the lab.

You can turn off sending all data over the VPN from the Network Connections option of Control Panel. Open the properties of the VPN, got to the Networking tab, Internet Protocol (TCP/IP4/6), open Properties, go to Advanced, untick Use default gateway on remote network. Then you will only use the VPN when you need to access a resource on the company's network.

Yes it is best to uncheck this setting, otherwise internet traffic will use the default gateway and hence be routed over the vpn.

Yes and no, sometimes you should connect to the client environment, but they allow connection only from white-list. You'll still can connect to corp. resources, but you lost possibility always hide your home IP. But in most cases, yes. It will help to reduce load on corp. internet channel and your internet surfing/video calls speed and latency will be much better.

Excellent article. I've tried the 3 methods (GUI, edit file and Power Shell) and I confirm that they all work.

A proxy server acts as a gateway between you and the internet. Therefore in this question all internet traffic must not be routed through the vpn. Create the vpn Advanced options…VPN Proxy Settings (Automatically detect settings)

Should be set to None. This way no proxy server is setup for the vpn which means that internet traffic would be diverted elsewhere which is what you want.

"Only traffic to your company's network must be routed through this VPN" I believe this would require that you edit the Advanced Settings of the VPN (after you create it) and input the default gateway address into the "Use the proxy server except for the addresses that start with the following entries" field at the bottom. Since that isn't provided, you would need to run the ipconfig command to discover it.

The explanation is missing the VPN proxy settings.

"only companies traffic" I think this is achieved when you connect to VPN itself (Without vpn Proxy setup) . You would configure VPN proxy settings if you want to re-route All the traffic, if I am not wrong.

No, by default all traffic goes through VPN.
