I'm going for No. This joins the device to AAD but does not enroll in Intune beause no auto enrollment has been configured.

If your tenant is not configured for auto-enrollment, you just have to go through the enrollment flow a second time to connect your device to MDM. Anyway is always using the settings app. The right answer is YES. https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/client-management/mdm/mdm-enrollment-of-windows-devices#connect-personally-owned-devices Check point 5, the third paragraph.

Your own link says: "Users enroll from Settings on the existing Windows PC". You don't need autoenrollment configured. If your tenant is not configured for auto-enrollment, you just have to go through the enrollment flow a second time to connect your device to MDM. The right answer is YES. Check the link, point 5, the third paragraph: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/client-management/mdm/mdm-enrollment-of-windows-devices#connect-personally-owned-devices

Im shocked this gets so many upvotes. YES YOU CAN join the computer to intune by going to work/school account and add an account. You get an option to join the computer to Azure Active Directory. Did this so many times before

Also to support my previous comment, the link in the answers literally says that this is supported: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/mem/intune/enrollment/windows-enrollment-methods#user-self-enrollment-in-intune If you click on AzureAD Join: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/account-billing/join-your-work-device-to-your-work-or-school-network-ef4d6adb-5095-4e51-829e-5457430f3973

The correct is " No " The answer is no because enrolling a Windows 10 device in Intune using the "Connect to work or school account" settings typically applies to devices that are part of Azure AD (Azure Active Directory) or hybrid Azure AD joined. In the scenario you described, Computer1 is in a workgroup, not joined to Azure AD. For devices in a workgroup, a more suitable method for enrolling in Intune is using the Intune MDM (Mobile Device Management) enrollment process. This involves installing the Intune MDM agent on the Windows 10 device. The "Connect to work or school account" option is designed for devices joined to Azure AD and is not the correct method for enrolling a device in a workgroup.

I believe these type of questions are coming with a scenario. But the scenario is not given in the question. Therefore answer may be vary due to the exact scenario mentioned in the question. That is why these questions are confused.

I would say yes and no to other this type questions - In order to enroll to Intune device needs to be Azure AD Joined or registered at least. If device is in WORKGROUP it literally is denied access to Intune as it is not in Azure AD. Work or School actually allows you to join Azure AD, which is the first step to Intune registration. This isn't specified but I would say yes, in case the auto enroll devices that are in Azure AD is turned on

Enroll in MDM only If you want to enroll a Windows device using this method, use the following procedure: 1. Enable Windows Automatic Enrollment for either all users or for an appropriate group to whom the designated account (which you use in step 6) belongs. 2. Sign in to your Windows 10 computer and open Settings. 3. Click Accounts. 4. Select the Access Work Or School tab. 5. On the Access Work Or School tab, click Enroll Only In Device Management. 6. In the Microsoft Account window, enter the organizational email account.

I think this makes it YES Azure Active Directory (Azure AD) Join - Joins the device with Azure Active Directory and enables users to sign in to Windows with their Azure AD credentials. If Auto Enrollment is enabled, the device is automatically enrolled in Intune. The benefit of auto enrollment is a single-step process for the user. Otherwise, they'll have to enroll separately through MDM only enrollment and reenter their credentials. Users enroll this way either during initial Windows OOBE or from Settings. The device is marked as a corporate owned device in Intune.

Yes. This is doable. In Windows 10 1607 and later, you can enroll a device from System > Accounts > Access work or school > Connect. https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/mem/intune/user-help/enroll-windows-10-device

This should be Yes, the question is only stating that the device needs to be registered in intune. This approach is valid for registering a windows 10 device with intune. Auto enrollment has to be enabled (Azure premium P1). The device will be registered in Intune as a personally owned windows 10 device. When you login to the company portal website you will have the option to add a device, then you will be redirected to the settings blade to Accounts -> Access Work or School from there you can enroll your device with company credentials. It is maybe not what you want for a large company rollout, but nonetheless it's a valid way to add devices to intune. https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/mem/intune/enrollment/windows-enrollment-methods#user-self-enrollment-in-intune
