I think when we look at these answers, we must remember the context of the question.
Its not about whether single sign on is true or false. Yes it's true, D could be right, if we are covering a question on Azure AD, but we need to remember the context.
D is right but this is a Power Platform exam, Power Apps exam. D is a distractor.
So, they want you to confirm you understand the use case which is -
----- You CAN use Power Bi to display data which comes in the both environments under the same tenant. so its C.
The context of the question is what is the BENEFIT of deploying both in the same tenant. This isn't a benefit unique to using these 2 in the same tenant. You could do this in 2 different tenants. Power BI integrates with various data sources
I don't agree since "Security" is part of the materials that we are asked to learn in this Power Platform Exam. Ignoring D will negates previous answers and also shows that we have not look at the security aspect of this platform. More over we know PowerBI has no problem to bring data from different resources. That's why we have all the utilities and connectors too.
A. You do not need to manually back up data. This is not necessarily a direct benefit of deploying both in the same tenant. While Microsoft does provide some backup and recovery services, it’s still recommended to have a separate backup strategy.
B. Both will use the same time zone. This is not necessarily a benefit. The time zone is typically set at the user level, not the tenant level.
C. You can use Power BI to display data that comes from both environments. This is true. When both apps are in the same tenant, it’s easier to create Power BI reports that use data from both environments.
D. You can implement Single Sign-On (SSO). This is also true. When both apps are in the same tenant, users can seamlessly navigate between them without needing to sign in separately to each app.
As wonderkid mentioned in one of the previous comments this is PL-900 exam and not for Azure so I would go with option C.
D - "Os dados do mesmo locatário não são compartilhados entre ambientes." https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-platform/admin/multiple-online-environments-tenants
D. You can implement Single Sign-On (SSO).
Explanation: When Microsoft 365 and Dynamics 365 are deployed within the same tenant, they both leverage the same Azure Active Directory (AAD) for identity management.
Power BI can integrate with various data sources regardless of whether they are in the same tenant. While having both in the same tenant might streamline some aspects of data integration, it's not a unique benefit of this deployment strategy.
Per ChatGPT, Power BI cannot directly access data from different Microsoft 365 tenants! PowerBi would need data from different tenants into the data source available in the tenant where PowerBi exist. So. the most benefit to keep M365 and D365 into same tenant is to provide data sources to PowerBI. Hence C should be answer.
Let's ask ChatGPT ;)
D. You can implement Single Sign-On (SSO).
One benefit of deploying Microsoft 365 and Dynamics 365 apps in the same tenant is that it allows you to implement Single Sign-On (SSO). SSO enables users to authenticate just once and access both systems without having to sign in again. This can streamline user access, increase security, and simplify administration.
While Microsoft 365 and Dynamics 365 apps may share some settings and configurations when deployed in the same tenant, they are still separate systems with their own data and functionalities. Backing up data, using the same time zone, and displaying data in Power BI are all possible regardless of whether the apps are deployed in the same or different tenants, but these benefits are not unique to deploying the apps in the same tenant.
C. You can use Power BI to display data that comes from both environments.
When you deploy Microsoft 365 and Dynamics 365 apps in the same tenant, you can use Power BI to create reports and dashboards that display data from both environments. This allows you to create a unified view of your data and can help you gain insights that would not be possible if the data was siloed in different tenants.
Additionally, Single Sign-On (SSO) is also possible, which means that users only need to sign in once to access all the apps in the tenant. This can improve user productivity and security
C: Seems to be correct. But. Can use Power BI for different tenants;
D: Seems to be correct. But. Can implement SSO for multiple tenants.
So don't know what answer is correct.
