A is the answer : a scheduled refresh.
In Power BI, "schedule refresh" means setting a recurring time to automatically refresh all data in a dataset, while "incremental refresh" only updates the new or changed data since the last refresh, allowing for faster updates on large datasets by avoiding unnecessary reloads of the entire data set. ( found on Google)
The answer is correct as you cannot schedule refreshes to be once a month, the refresh frequency can be either daily or weekly. Incremental refresh will refresh the dataset for the last month with new data, the old data will not change.
- a scheduled refresh
While incremental refresh can help optimize the refresh process by refreshing only the data that has changed, it does not set the schedule for when the refresh happens. It helps with large datasets by minimizing data reloads, but it doesn’t solve the requirement of scheduling the refresh for the first day of each month.
