No, increasing Automatic page refresh intervals does not meet the goal of reducing the amount of data sent through the on-premises data gateway by semantic models running in Import storage mode. Here's why: Automatic Page Refresh (Report Level): Automatic page refresh controls how frequently the visuals on a report page are updated. It instructs the Power BI service to periodically query the existing, already imported data in the semantic model to refresh the visuals. It doesn't affect the amount of data transferred into the semantic model during a scheduled or manual data refresh.

First reason is Automatic Refresh is not available for Import mode as in our scenario but using DirectQuery mode. Even when we would be in a DirectQuery scenario, increasing the refresh would cause an increase on the traffic so the opposite effect
