Selected Answer: A
When you redeploy a VM, Azure will shut down the VM, move the VM to a new node within the Azure infrastructure, and then power it back on, retaining all your configuration options and associated resources. NOTE: After you redeploy a VM, all the data that you saved on the temporary disk and Ephemeral disk is lost. The dynamic IP addresses associated with virtual network interface are updated.

Copilot: Selecting Redeploy from the VM1 Redeploy + reapply blade does not move VM1 to a different host immediately. The process involves shutting down the VM, moving it to a new node within the Azure infrastructure, and then powering it back on. This means there is a sequence of actions that take place rather than an immediate move. https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/troubleshoot/azure/virtual-machines/windows/redeploy-to-new-node-windows?wt.mc_id=knwlserapi_inproduct_azportal#redeploy-windows-virtual-machine-to-new-azure-node https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/troubleshoot/azure/virtual-machines/linux/redeploy-to-new-node-linux?wt.mc_id=knwlserapi_inproduct_azportal#redeploy-linux-virtual-machine-to-new-azure-node
