1. Single 2. Delete the many to one relationship, because the question asks what do you have to do first, if you set the relationship active as first step, you will receive an error message, because there would be 2 active relationship with the same 2 tables

First is correct, I think second one should be Change cross-filter direction (to both) as the first step as required. Deleting many to one relationship could be necessary on specific scenarios to resolve errors, but before you could do this, first step is to enable bi directional filtering which means Change the cross-filter direction to "Both", same also with Define the relationship as active, cant do this unless you change the hange cross-filter direction and set it to both to enable bi-directional filtering. Once you Change cross-filter direction to "Both" that is the only time you can efine the relationship as active or removing delete many-to-one relationships if it gives exception error.

1. Single, because 1-many or many-1 only supports (Single and Both). - https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/transform-model/desktop-relationships-understand#cross-filter-direction 2. You must FIRST make the active relationship "Inactive". Since that option is not available here, the "Delete the many-to-one relationship" option should be correct as the first step. Note that if you Define the many-many relationship as active first, it will give an error.

The answer is correct: Single and Define the relationship as active. For the second answer: we can see that only the many-to-one relationship is active and many-to-many disable. So when we ENABLE bi-directional filtering, it means that we are defining that relationship as active and therefore the many-to-one relationship is not relevant anymore so we delete it. This is my opinion.

In other terms, when you firstly define the relationship active it simply means that you deleted the many-to-one relationship considering the example in the exhibit, and therefore enable the many-to-many filtering.

1: Single 2. Delete the many to one. Per MS Learn, you should first make the other relationship inactive. Since making it inactive is not an option, we must delete: "To ensure there’s a default relationship, Power BI Desktop allows only a single active relationship between two tables at a given time. Therefore, you must first set the current relationship as inactive and then set the relationship you want to be active." https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/transform-model/desktop-create-and-manage-relationships

1.- Single 2.- Define the relationship as active. This would set the other relationship to inactive but this is not a constraint for this question

Both answers are correct. Only active relationships can participate in filtering and RLS, so if it’s currently inactive, you need to activate the relationship.

Are you sure about this - when I look at my models in Power BI the single arrow in the 1 to many relationship means it is single, the double arrow means it is both. To enable the filtering the relationship must be active in the many-to-many.
