AI agrees with E. You can configure any domain-joined server that meets the following requirements: Runs a supported version of Windows Server (2008 or later). Has shared folders configured. If using DFS Replication, the server should be configured for DFS Replication. Therefore, file servers or any server with proper file-sharing and DFS replication configurations within the contoso.com domain can be configured as folder targets for the Finance folder in the DFS namespace \\contoso.com\Public.

Server2 and Server4 cannot be used as folder targets because they do not have the DFS Namespace role installed. If you have any more questions or need further clarification, feel free to ask!

Server1 and Server3 both have the DFS Namespaces role, allowing them to be configured as folder targets. Server2 only has the DFS Replication role and cannot be configured as a folder target. Server4 has no roles assigned, hence cannot be a folder target.
