1. Add the Canvas App Read privilege to the Contact Managers security role. https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-apps/maker/model-driven-apps/share-embedded-canvas-app Ensure that users have appropriate permissions for any Microsoft Dataverse tables that your embedded canvas app uses. Specifically add read privilege for the Canvas App table located on the Customization tab of the security role editor. 2. Share the canvas app with the users.

1- Users assigned to the Contact Managers security role (this means all the users), then we just need to update the security role so that they can see the app, given that they can see the contacts. Which means, answer is 4 2- Some users assigned to the Basic User security role cannot ... (which means, the issue isn't with the security role itself, since other users with the same security role can still see the app, this is because the app has been shared with them) So, we just need to share the app with the users having issues, answer is 2

I would go with "add Canvas App Read priviledge" in both cases https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-apps/maker/model-driven-apps/share-embedded-canvas-app

I challenged ChatGPT a bit. That is the second answer I got "Since only some users are experiencing the issue, it's likely that the canvas app has not been shared with all users in the Basic User security role. By sharing the app explicitly with the affected users, they will gain access to the embedded canvas app."

the contact table is external so sharing the Contact table makes no sense. also is says SOME basic users can see the app so it can't be the security role. klkl03 is right

It doesnt say that the contacts table explicitly is external, only the data source? The Dataverse Contacts table can be populated with external data.

in my opinion, the second answer should be 'share canvas app to the users'. if it was a security role issue, all users would be impacted. only some users have the problem...

For me: 1) contact read privilege to contact managers security role 2) share canvas app to the users
