Actually the answer for the first setting is "Devices." Please see the following statement in the following URL link: "View a list of onboarded devices Go to the Microsoft Defender portal (https://security.microsoft.com), and sign in. In the navigation pane, go to Assets > Devices. The Device inventory view opens." https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/defender-business/mdb-onboard-devices?tabs=Windows10and11#view-a-list-of-onboarded-devices

I would like to correct that, under Vulnerability Management > Inventories. So the correct answer is 1. Inventories 2. Configuration Management

I checkt this in an customers tenant. I cannot seem to find any software inventory under Devices. Only security information, onboarding status etc. But under Inventories > Software I directly see the Edge Chromium-Based.

Inventories and Settings Microsoft states "You can remove the CPE Available filter, to gain further visibility and increase your search scope across all installed software in your organization. This means all software, including software without a CPE, will now display in the software inventory list. [Article updated on Jan 22, 2024!] (Ref: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/security/defender-vulnerability-management/tvm-software-inventory?view=o365-worldwide) Edge Chromium is available in the CPE list as per the video below (Ref: https://nvd.nist.gov/products/cpe/search/results?namingFormat=2.3&keyword=Edge+Chromium) States "Currently, software without CPE are not listed in the Software Inventory page, instead they are listed in the Device specific software inventory section." I have some info after researching, the reasons Devices is correct, Edge Chromium based is listed there because it is an application without CPE, unlike Edge which is under Inventories. This is explained in the video mentioned below.

Wrong. I have the Defender tenant open. It's under 'Vulnerability management' > Inventories There you will find Edge Chromium-based. If you click on it, it opens and you can choose the option 'Installed devices' and it will show you a list of devices where Edge Chromium-based is installed.
