Agree with the AB#ID notation but shouldn't it be "fixes" instead of "completed" accoring https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/devops/boards/github/link-to-from-github?view=azure-devops#use-ab-to-link-from-github-to-azure-boards-work-items? Not an option however....

You are right. I checked with keyword "Completed" no status is changed. Only using "fixed or fixes or fix" followed by AB#[id] will change the workitem status.

Selected Answer: D
D. #AB456, #AB457, #AB458 Completed #AB456 When using Azure Boards with GitHub, work items can be linked by specifying the Azure Boards work item ID in the format AB#ID in the commit message. So, #AB456, #AB457, and #AB458 will link the pull request to these work items. To set the state of work item 456 to done, you include 'Completed' before the identifier. So, "Completed #AB456" would set the state of work item 456 to done.

Wrong, the item need to be a BUG not a TASK to use Fix, Fixes, Fixed , and the state wont become Done, it should become Resolved, just try this.

As epr this link https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/devops/boards/github/link-to-from-github?view=azure-devops#use-ab-mention-to-link-from-github-to-azure-boards-work-items we have to use AB#ID convention for GitHub. If we want to mark an item as completed => right before AB we have to use the 'Completed' keyword. Since in the answer options D is the closest to the convention (just the # has to be after AB) I would rather go for answer D.

Considering we are dealing with Azure boards, we need AB# notation, so it can't be A or C. If no state is defined for a workflow an item defaults to "Completed" state, so maybe D is the answer, even if it redundant (and possibly bad practice). You should use adds a feature or fixes something, not Completed, because it's ambiguous.
