I tested this in a lab. Assuming the image here is incorrect (it looks Photoshopped) and the image found here: https://www.freecram.com/question/Microsoft.70-742.v2018-02-22.q80/exhibit-user1-is-in-ou1-gpo1-is-linked-to-ou1-the-settings-in-gpo1-are-configured-as-shown-in is correct, I have three shortcuts appearing on the desktop of User1.

thx for the link. This question has sense now. The correct be 3 links due to every name is different. If the name was the same then the last action delete would win.

The image of the question is wrong. The Name tag must correspond to the shortcut tag. I mean, if the shortcut tag is %DesktopDir%\Shortcut1, the name tag is also called Shorcut1. It is not possible to create Shortcut2 with the tag shortcut = %DesktopDir%\Shortcut1. I have tested in my lab but as I can not upload it you can see it in the explanation of this video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wPVWwJUtBYo) in the minute 1:44. He puts the name PNet_Data and automatically when he clicks on apply the shortcut %DesktopDir%\PNet_Data is created. Therefore, taking that into account, you can only create the Shortcut called Shortcut1 that has the shortcut %DesktopDir%\Shortcut1. The others make no sense because they cannot be created. Then the answer is -> A. 1 If the image had been this other https://www.freecram.com/question/Microsoft.70-742.v2018-02-22.q80/exhibit-user1-is-in-ou1-gpo1-is-linked-to-ou1-the-settings-in-gpo1-are-configured-as-shown-in-the in that case three Shortcuts would be created on the desktop and the answer would have been -> C. 3

You don't even know strawberry, why don't you try?Do not lie saying that you have done it in the laboratory, and less saying that you cannot share it, you confuse people. Comments like these are the ones left over on the page. I share a real picture of my LAB, doing what this character says can't be done. https://imgur.com/a/IDO6JD7 As simple as renaming after creating ... WooooW

Then, the shorcut would be deleted even if the target is N/A?

Looking at it I'd say the first 3 actions are performed. The fourth is not. So there is 1 shortcut and it will not be deleted, leaving us with 1. I have not labbed this though.

I tested this. When I create the four shortcuts, I receive zero(!) shortcuts on the desktop. When I disable the delete shortcut, I receive one shortcut on the desktop. And when I enable it again, there are zero shortcuts. My answer: zero. There are no correct answers?

Same for me with the picture reference I also have 0. If you setup correctly with a new Shortcut, under "Location" it set to "Desktop", it will set automatically %DesktopDir%\Shortcut1 to 4. Create the GPO under a OU that contains Users and "Voila", you should get only 3 shortcut on the desktop.

I created the shortcuts with the same shortcut values and then I renamed it like in the image, the result was 0 shortcuts. So in the exam, if the column shotcut has the same value I will choose the option 0, if it's available. If the shortcut column have different values I will choose the option 3, I tested in my lab.

Answer is C. The image is wrong and the shortcuts should not all be shortcut1, they should be 2-3 as well, check the 2nd link manjonei posted. If you correct for that the answer is C. (If you don't then the answer would be 0). To clear up some other confusions in here: -You can have them all named Shortcut1. manjonei said that you can only create 1 Shortcut1 because the others couldn't share the same name. This is not true. You can have multiple items in here that all have the same name and you can rename them different from what the shortcut ultimately is, i.e. you can a name of Shortcut2 that places shortcut1 -The processing order is not 4-3-2-1 as you would expect from GPO processing order. It applies them in top to bottom 1-2-3-4 order. Try this yourself where you change the order around and you can easily see that they absolutely go in numerical order.

Everyone is saying the Delete option will make the answer 0, but the link order will go 4,3,2,1. So the delete will happen before the create action.

I think it should be 0. But in this case I guessed 1. But would definitely choose 0 if it was an option.

Don't assume the answers unless you try on your lab. When you give all the shortcuts with the same name there will be 0 shortcuts on the desktop If you rename each shortcut with a different name as shown in the question, you will get 3. Try it your self on a lab before confusing others

If you do the laboratory as it comes in the image, 0 comes out, I have tried it, and clearly you do not. The problem is that as they have indicated, the image does not correspond to this question, so the answer is 3. If you think the answer is 3 seeing this image you are wrong. Do it in the laboratory and tell us

I have also tested and the answer is 0. Because all shortcuts points to the same object, so at the end the shortcut will be deleted. If all 4 shortcuts points to different objects then there will be 3 shortcuts on the desktop.

Let's see, here is a problem, and the image shows the drive maps icon, not the Shortcut icon https://imgur.com/iW9CpqW On the other hand, it cannot be Drive Maps, because it is NOT possible to add a TARGET column. https://imgur.com/a/qtVTZAX  This Target column does exist in the Shortcuts part ... as you can see in the image of the question.

If it finishes in the image they will see how it is tricked. The solution should be 0. If we do what comes in the image (here I show the exact confiration in my lab) https://imgur.com/a/6svTUee Action 1 Create the shortcut Action 2 Does nothing (or does not give me time to see it) Action 3 Does nothing (or does not give me time to see it) Action 4 Delete the shortcut. Note; Renaming as shortcut1, or shortcut2 etc does nothing, is the name we give to the rule, nothing more Conclusion, there is no direct access. As the image is retouched we do not know for sure if it is a shortcut, a drive map .... If there is 0 in the exam that will be my answer, if there is no zero I will mark 1

The image is wrong. In the lab you can recreate this under shortcuts correctly. And it does not dump any shortcuts onto the desktop at all. This image is incorrect completely.

Can someone explain a bit please. I tried it, I got two shortcuts for 2-replace and 3-Update. Both valid shortcuts for C:\. Why is every site saying its just 1 shortcut?

Tell me how you tested it. Since a creation, update and replace of the SAME shortcut (since they all have the same path) takes place. After that it gets a delete, BUT there's no path leading to the shortcut so it won't be deleted. Answer A is correct for me.

I believe the answer A is correct bcos link order of 1 has the highest precedence; meaning the GPO processing order is 4-3-2-1.

When all the shortcuts have the same name, there will be 0 shortcuts on the desktop If you rename each shortcut with a different name as shown in the question, you will get 3. You can have multiple shortcuts with different names that point to the same file.
