DRAG DROP
-

You have a Power BI report that contains three pages. The pages are used to analyze sales across various countries.

You add a slicer named Country to each page of the report.

You need to configure the report to meet the following requirements:

• When a user selects a country on the first page, the report must filter the other pages.
• The second and third pages must display only the filtered results.

Which task should you perform for each requirement? To answer, drag the appropriate task to the correct requirement. Each task may be used once, more than once, or not at all. You may need to drag the split bar between panes or scroll to view content.

NOTE: Each correct selection is worth one point.

Both questions are asking the same thing. When first page is filtered by country, the other two need to reflect the filter. Configure the country slicer to sync across all the pages will satisfy both questions. Hiding the country slicer from last two pages, is more about user experience and report design than functionality required to meet the given requirements. In the instructions it says that the same task may be used multiple times.

The question is a little bit ambiguous: "The second and third pages must display only the filtered results" means, there cannot be slicer!!!

It is absurdly ambiguous I would say.

The answer given seems wrong because if you add the Country field to the filters on all pages it does not mean you are syncing it and therefore when they say that filtering one page should automatically filter other pages will not work on setting filters individually. You have to set report level filters then on all pages

Agree with ZSun. Question is very ambiguous....because they said the 2nd and 3rd pages show only filtered results, I would choose to: - Configure the Country slicer to sync across all the pages - Hide the Country slicer on the second and third pages Hiding the slicer would prevent the user from seeing anything other than the filtered results.

Bit difficult to answer, I agree to the second part - Hide the Country slicer on the second and third pages But at the moment there are 3 pages in the report, so both answers would be correct, as we don't know how a future page 4 should be handled - Configure the Country slicer to sync across all the pages - Hide the Country slicer on the second and third pages

Chatgpt as well as Gemini choose: Configure the country slicer to sync across all the pages, for both questions.

You configure the country slicer to sync across all pages and disable visibility on page 2 and 3. On page 1, select the slicer > Format > Edit interactions, set visual of page 1 to none. This will prevent filtering that visual only.

The question is ambigious and the requirement implies that the country chosen on Page 1 must only filter the other pages - meaning that Page 1 is not to be filtered at all. However, after testing - adding a slicer on Page 1 requires filtering on that page. I believe the correct answer is: - Configure the Country slicer to sync across all the pages - Hide the Country slicer on the second and third pages

why sync across all the pages? not only on the second and third pages?

because in the first requirement, a country is selected on page 1. Therefore it is implied that page 1 is included in the sync.

Answer is wrong - Configure country slicer to sync across all the pages and secondly, -Since the 2nd and 3rd pages need just to display data, you simply hide the slicer (since it will be displaying data filtered from the main slicer in page 1)
