Looking for pnpdrivers$ only results in LPIC Dumps, so i assume it is made up.
It also isn't stated anywhere in the samba wiki, but print$ is.
If it does exist, it probably is related to plug and play, not point and print
In order to enable Point'n'Print driver deployment on Windows for printers shared via the Common Internet File System (CIFS), printer drivers need to be placed in the pnpdrivers$ share. The pnpdrivers$ share is a hidden administrative share specifically designed for storing printer drivers in the Windows environment.
