C is correct. "...stores log data either persistently below /var/log/journal or in a volatile way below /run/log/journal..." - From system-journald.service(8) man pages

"What is the systemd journal stored?" - - Is this supposed to be English? Ya know... they could really ask these questions in a better and more grammatically correct way. This is just silly, unprofessional, and not an actual question.
