SERVER ROLE = ACTIVE DIRECTORY DOMAIN CONTROLLER
This mode of operation runs Samba as an active directory domain controller
https://www.samba.org/samba/docs/current/man-html/smb.conf.5.html#PREFERREDMASTER
C: server role = active directory domain controller
It asks to to set it up as a controller not as a member.
Th [wrong] security=ads specifies that another AD should be verify passwords. For a controller who does the verification by itself it should "security = user".
So correct is the rather obvious C "role = active directory domain controller"
