Steps of business continuity planning: 1) Know your network (you should list all the functions and services in a network; you should perform a business impact analysis); 2) Assess the risks (you should perform a risk assessment); 3) Formulate the plan (you should develop a plan of action to mitigate the risks); 4) Test the plan (you should test the plan hypothetically on paper; you should test the plan in full-fledged live exercises).
