The MC-LAG peers use the Inter-Chassis Control Protocol (ICCP) to exchange control information and coordinate with each other to ensure that data traffic is forwarded properly. ICCP replicates control traffic and forwarding states across the MC-LAG peers and communicates the operational state of the MC-LAG members.
