Why not C? When Task B fails, wouldn't the playbook stop at that point?

Correct answer is D http://docs.ansible.com/ansible/latest/playbooks_intro.html Each play contains a list of tasks. Tasks are executed in order, one at a time, against all machines matched by the host pattern, before moving on to the next task.
