The guideline to use a URL pattern wildcard is as follows: Use \*\.[]\?* and precede all wildcard URLs with http://. You can use “*” only if it is at the beginning of the URL and is followed by “.”. You can use “?” only at the end of the URL. The following wildcard syntaxes are supported: http://*.example.net, http://www.example.ne?, http://www.example.n??.
