I almost went with D but its asking for a CORRECTIVE control so this means the other controls already failed. The other controls are detective, preventive, and deterrents

I dont know if the questions are really tricky, but if you read the question, minimize the effects of of physical intrusion (does it mean the physical intrusions already happened and based on the corrective control we are finding the best deterrent control moving further?) in this case the answer would be A based on the CISSP training. in other words, the most effective corrective control is to find a preventive control.

A appears to be the only corrective control. "Corrective controls are designed to respond to errors or events in order to take action to minimize risk of future occurrence." https://sharedassessments.org/glossary/corrective-control/ Police and guards responding is the corrective control (which means a response) Lights and sounds appear to be detective and deterrent: https://blog.eduonix.com/networking-and-security/learn-different-types-security-controls-cissp/
