Looks like A to me, you dont want the inner door to open until the outer door is closed. its the entire purpose.

A. Allow it to be opened by an alarmed emergency button. The presence of an alarmed emergency button on the outer door can provide a safety mechanism for individuals who may need to exit the mantrap in emergency situations. This allows a person inside the mantrap to request assistance or exit the area quickly in case of an emergency.

A. "Mantraps work by using an interdependent locking/unlocking methodology, which grants access to the second door only when the first door has been properly locked. The person trapped inside must wait for the first door to lock and then provide the necessary credentials, such as passcodes or biometric authentication, to be able to go through the second door." https://www.getkisi.com/guides/mantrap

Selected Answer: A
It's A. You have to be able to get out in an emergency. Clearly some people have never been in a data centre. B can't be correct because you can and often do go in alone. Some mantraps are single person. Others are rooms that can have more than one person. Either way not correct. C is not correct. They are observed by CCTV. D is not correct. Both doors of a man trap cannot be open. This is how they are designed. You walk into the trap and the door closes behind you. You then are challenged to present a badge, or use biometrics or sometimes security manually let you pass. Then and only then can you open the door. So both door are never open as that completely defeats the purpose.

D is the correct one. pay attention to "when the inner door of the mantrap is also open" meaning that the inner door was opened first, therefore, whomever is there leaving and obviously he/she is exiting the facility from inside of the DC.

no sure, but usually for emergency, are we using mantrap doors for exit to save human life? or there should be special doors for emergency exit? ! note that the question is asking about a design feature, so it is kind of exception for the mantrap purpose.

I re-thought about the question, and seems A is correct. What is someone inside the mantrap and disaster happen while he is inside, the outdoor should open immediately.

Remember protecting human life is always the highest priority (in life and this exam!) - see Mike Chapples Youtube channel for more info. As the others have said, A, B & C defeat the purpose of a man trap.

A mantrap is a small room with an entry door on one wall and an exit door on the opposite wall. One door of a mantrap cannot be unlocked and opened until the opposite door has been closed and locked.
