Selected Answer: B
The calculation of the Recovery Time Objective (RTO) is necessary to determine the B. priority of restoration. Here’s why this is the case: Restoration Priorities: RTO is a critical metric that defines the maximum acceptable amount of time that a process or service can be unavailable after a disruption. Understanding the RTO for different processes or services helps the organization prioritize which systems, applications, or processes should be restored first in the event of a disruption. Business Continuity Planning: Setting the RTO is an integral part of business continuity planning. It guides how the organization plans for recovery and in what order to restore operations to minimize impact on business functions.

Selected Answer: B
The correct answer is B. priority of restoration. The Recovery Time Objective (RTO) is a crucial metric in business continuity and disaster recovery planning. It represents the maximum allowable downtime for a particular system or process after a disruption or disaster. Calculating the RTO helps in determining the priority of restoration, which means it helps organizations identify which systems or processes should be restored first in the event of a disruption. The RTO guides decision-making about resource allocation and recovery strategies, ensuring that critical functions are restored promptly to minimize business impact.

B. priority of restoration. RTO helps determine which systems, applications, or processes should be restored first following a disaster or disruption. Those with the shortest RTOs are typically restored first because they are considered the most critical to business operations.

as per ISACA glossary. Recovery time objective (RTO) is the amount of time allowed for the recovery of a business function or resource after a disaster occurs. not the time reuqired to restore it.

D is just about restoring the files. RTO can be for systems or processes, which is much wider than just files restoration. On the other hand, having RTOs, one is able to prioritize the recovery actions (shorter RTOs first etc). So, I'd say, B

you prioritize based on criticality of the system and not the value of the RTO. there are assets that are critical with long RTO's

Correct answer is D , RTO is maximum time to recovery business process. C -> this point to RPO , the point of data which business accept to recover B -> priority to restore decided by BIA not by RTO or RPO , if my business application is critical will be high in priority to restore irrespective of RTO and RPO.

D makes more sense, RTO is the maximum amount of time a recovery process can take. Those who mention RPO are definitely wrong, rooks is correct.

RTP does not define the time required to restore files, but the time allowed to restore files. Correct answer is B , priority of restore, the files/systems with less RTO should be restored first
