Selected Answer: A
I'm also split between A and C. Acceptable Interruption Window (AIW) is “the maximum period of time that a system can be unavailable before compromising the achievement of the enterprise’s business objectives.” (ISACA, 2019) AIW is also known as the Maximum Tolerable Downtime (MTD) or Maximum Tolerable Period of Disruption (MTPD). However, the definition by ISACA in the glossary emphasizes “system,” while MTD or MTPD is a business term that focuses on the disruption of business processes or prioritized activities (not found in the glossary).

Selected Answer: C
I'm split between A and C. Thing is, MTD and AIW are more or less the same thing. However, in ISACA glossary, MTD does not exist (only MTO, which is maximum time of how long the business can operate from alternate location), but AIW is defined: "Acceptable interruption window - The maximum period of time that a system can be unavailable before compromising the achievement of the enterprise's business objectives" So going with C.

Well after investigating further, I think I'm wrong. It's A after all.

Selected Answer: A
When designing a disaster recovery strategy, the parameter that is most helpful is the Maximum Tolerable Downtime (MTD), option A. MTD refers to the maximum amount of time a system or service can be offline or unavailable before it starts negatively impacting the organization's operations or causing significant financial loss. By determining the MTD, organizations can prioritize their recovery efforts and allocate resources accordingly to minimize downtime and ensure business continuity. The other parameters mentioned, such as Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF), Allowable Interruption Window (AIW), and Recovery Point Objective (RPO), are also important considerations but may not be as directly related to designing the overall disaster recovery strategy.
