The PRIMARY reason why Modbus over Ethernet is easy to manage in a firewall is that it uses:
• Explicit source and destination IP addresses: This makes traffic easy to identify and filter.
• A single known TCP port (Port 502): Firewalls can be configured to allow or block traffic specifically on this port, simplifying rule management.
A voting comment increases the vote count for the chosen answer by one.
