When considering changes or additions to existing requirements, business analysts assess the impact of the proposed change by considering: • Benefit: the benefit that will be gained by accepting the change. • Cost: the total cost to implement the change including the cost to make the change, the cost of associated rework, and the opportunity costs such as the number of other features that may need to be sacrificed or deferred if the change is approved. • Impact: the number of customers or business processes affected if the change is accepted. • Schedule: the impact to the existing delivery commitments if the change is approved. • Urgency: the level of importance including the factors which drive necessity such as regulator or safety issues. Selected Answer: C
When assessing the impact of safety concerns, the BA should consider the risk register, as it is a tool that helps identify and assess potential risks to the project. In this case, safety concerns would likely be classified as risks to the project, and the risk register would include information on the nature of these risks, their likelihood, potential impacts, and any mitigation or management strategies in place. The risk register helps the BA and the project team evaluate the significance of the safety concerns and prioritize them accordingly.

I'm going with C. BABOK V3 pg 329: Risk analysis and management identifies areas of uncertainty that could negatively affect value, analyzes and evaluates those uncertainties, and develops and manages ways of dealing with the risks.

changing my mind - it is B. pg 93 - it seems that urgency, specifically driven by factors such as safety issues, is considered a critical factor when assessing the impact of proposed changes, especially those related to safety concerns.
