Before investing further in the project, a customer and the key stakeholders of the project want to be able to visualize the final product. Which elicitation technique should the business analyst (BA) select?
Answer should be B- Prototyping. It cannot be observation
Firstly, the question is asking for BA to select an elicitation Technique. If BA selects for example Observation, what will be the result of that? only BA will understand or able to visualize. In this scenario the final user is the Customer, so for the customer to visualize BA needs to provide some form of prototype, hence BA has to do Prototyping as elicitation.
There are 9 elicitation techniques defined by the BABOK for business analysts: Which includes prototyping.
Brainstorming
Document Analysis
Focus Groups
Interface Analysis
