Answer should be B- Prototyping. It cannot be observation Firstly, the question is asking for BA to select an elicitation Technique. If BA selects for example Observation, what will be the result of that? only BA will understand or able to visualize. In this scenario the final user is the Customer, so for the customer to visualize BA needs to provide some form of prototype, hence BA has to do Prototyping as elicitation.

It seems to me prototyping too. Although it is not listeded technique in elicitation task in Babok. Therefore observation might be true

There are 9 elicitation techniques defined by the BABOK for business analysts: Which includes prototyping. Brainstorming Document Analysis Focus Groups Interface Analysis Interviews Observation Prototyping Requirements Workshops Survey/Questionnaire

Why should you even think of Observation after they said Visualize the final Product. The only technique that looks logical is Prototyping B.

I believe Ans- C explanation- Before investing further---means project in progress Observers can gain realistic and practical insight about the activities and their tasks within an overall process. Productivity can be viewed firsthand and realistically compared against any established performance standards or metrics.
