In cases where a solution is temporary or short-term, such as a project intended to last only two months, the value of full traceability may not justify the effort required to establish all possible links between solution requirements and design. According to BABOK Section 5.1: Manage Requirements Traceability, traceability should be applied based on the value it provides to stakeholders, the project, and the organization.
