Selected Answer: C
C. The unlinked aggregated data used for statistical purposes by an Italian company A U.S. social security number is a unique identifier that can be used to directly identify an individual. The GDPR applies to the processing of personal data of individuals who are in the EU, regardless of their nationality or residence. An American citizen living in France is considered to be in the EU, and thus, their personal data, including their social security number, would be protected under the GDPR.
