During merges and acquisitions, it is important to evaluate the impact on the relevant laws and regulations, therefore seeking the assistance of the legal teams might become necessary. Benchmarking the two companies' privacy policies against one another is not a MUST, since policies can be re-written to accomodate the combined privacy requirements of the two entities.
