Reconsideration by the PDPC
Aggrieved organisations or individuals have 28 days to apply to the Commission to reconsider a decision it has made or direction it has given (s31). Unless the Commission decides otherwise, such a request will no cause any direction or decision to be suspended, except an order for payment of a penalty (s31(2)). Such a request results in any appeal to the Appeal Panel to be deemed to be withdrawn (s34)
Appeal Committees
Individuals or organizations dissatisfied with PDPC decisions may appeal to the Data Protection Appeal Panel (s34), on any grounds (law, facts, or remedies). The Minister appoints the Appeal Panel and its Chairman (s33), and may appoint up to 30 members to the Panel
