The Information-Request is sent by the clients to the "All_DHCP_Relay_Agents_and_Servers" mutlicast address following which servers respond with a replay message containing the configuration information for the client.
When using SLAAC, a host actually makes use of three different tools to find its four IPv6 settings SLAAC itself focuses on the IPv6 address only. The host then uses NDP messages to learn both the prefix length and the IPv6 addresses of the available routers on the link. Finally, the host makes use of stateless DHCP to learn the IPv6 addresses of any DNS servers.
