The Tiebreakers for determining DP(Designated Ports), are the same (and same order) with the RP(Root Port) elections, the last two tiebreakers are used when a single switch can connect two o more interface to the same collision domain. For example when using a Hub.
Tiebreakers (in Order)
1 .- The switch picks the port connected to the neighbor with the lowes BID
2 .- The switch choose based on the lowest neighbor port priority (Configurable Option)
3 .- The switch choose based on the lowest neighbor internal port number.
