agree with omen: D Keepalive Link The best practice for the Keepalive connection is to use a direct L3 circuit, which can be a low speed port (1G transceiver is enough, 1GBASE- T works as well) between both VSX nodes. This circuit need not be directly connected and the path can include active L2 and L3 equipment.
