Additional info Important • The HPE MSA 1050/2050/2052 storage system only supports Virtual Disk Groups. If you have existing Linear Disk Group that you need preserved, go to the section entitled “Preserving Linear Data” before continuing the upgrade. • During the upgrade, the storage system will be powered down and all HPE MSA 1040/2040/2042 array enclosures will be replaced with HPE MSA 1050/2050/2052 array enclosures. • Existing drives will be removed from the HPE MSA 1040/1050/2040/2042 array enclosure and placed in the new HPE MSA https://www.hpe.com/psnow/doc/a00015116enw?jumpid=in_lit-psnow-red Page 7
