Selected Answer: C
Answer = C Explanation: while logically C is the best answer, from exam standpoint we need to be 100% how this is derived. By definition API gateway "API Gateway gives you high performance, scalability... Consumption-based and tiered pricing means you can better manage cost." All of these are directly terms from "Operations Management". it also states the benefits of API gateways as "Take advantage of all the operational benefits such as....." Hence this answer is a direct extract from google cloud documentation.

Answer is: "To achieve long-term operational flexibility". You can "re-host" (Lift and Shift) your app on cloud without complete re-architecture of the whole APP.

It should be C, APIs are not used for change the underlying architecture of legacy systems, rather they help with integrations in the most cost effective way

Making amends here I think I made a mistake: In question 80: A hotel wants to modernize their legacy systems so that customers can make reservations through a mobile app. What's the benefit of using an application programming interface (API) to do this? Answer: They do not have to re-write their legacy system. If there's no need to re-write, there's should also be no need to re-architect it? Thus in reference to the answer on that question 80. Answer B is wrong. So answer remains C.
